School leavers joining Kier are offered career opportunities across the UK from many of its regional offices or sites. Kier is dedicated to supporting school leavers to achieve recognised academic qualifications, and at the same time gain valuable on the job experience.
If you have good GCSE and/or ‘A’ Level results, enjoy working as part of a team and have a keen desire to develop a career within an exciting industry – Kier would like to hear from you.
We offer funding for day release, and block release college study, to gain qualifications such as HNC building studies, a foundation degree in construction, or degrees in civil engineering, construction management and quantity surveying. This educational base allows you to work towards professional qualifications, which will establish you in your career.
We also have a growing need in the business for students wishing to pursue a career in areas such as accounts, marketing, IT and secretarial/administration.

As not all Kier companies offer apprenticeship schemes, we recommend you enquire before submitting your CV.
All CVs should be addressed to the Personnel Manager and should include educational history, work experience, plus hobbies and interests.
A covering letter should accompany your CV indicating the type of role you are interested in.
